Paula Raymond
I am a Case Manager with Connected Self. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Arts/Social Work to enhance my knowledge base surrounding the work I do with children and young people. I am passionate about enhancing the lives of children and young people and while this work is often confronting and challenging, I enjoy the ability to make a difference in their lives.
Background
I have worked in a number of different fields which has included the financial, legal and social work fields. Within the social work field I began by working with foster carers and supporting them to work through the challenging times that they faced with their respective foster children. Many of these children came from backgrounds of abuse, neglect and trauma. Following on from this I managed the Homelessness Strategy Unit which introduced me to the many issues surrounding homelessness such as poverty, addiction and mental health issues. I believe that these experiences have assisted me to fully comprehend the issues that the children and young people that I work with are facing on a daily basis so that I can help to resolve them more thoughtfully.

On a Personal Note...
I share my life with my wonderful husband and two gorgeous boys. We are a very busy family but enjoy spending time together bushwalking, travelling to third world countries and just enjoying life. I also have a passion for animals, photography and social activism.
